The Federation held its 11th display day at Warmington Village Hall, near Peterborough on Sunday, 28th September, the 10th time that John Spencer had arranged the event. The displays on offer were: Post Office press notices for special issues, 1972 -78; a fine mint Barbados collection from Queen Victoria to George VI, including die proofs and over prints; an illustrated history of the village Castle Rising with postal history; Revenues of Nyasaland on court documents, bills of exchange and proofs of debt; Board of Trade perfins, including fakes on stamps and cover; a further selection of Board of Trade perfins on post cards; a brief look at TPOs, both GB and from abroad; Squared Circle post marks, the 6 types clearly shown, with examples; George VI issues of Antigua, Bermuda, Cayman Isles, Dominica and Grenada; the first two issues of the Isle of Man, with booklets, ‘sachets’ and errors; Malawi the 1988 bird issue with original artwork, stages in the production process and overprints; an extensive display of stamps, covers and ephemera on the topic of the Victoria Cross. This was yet another most enjoyable and sociable day, with next year’s event being planned for the end of September 2026. The Federation’s AGM followed with Peter Morton being installed as the new President taking over from Richard Husband.
